Welcome to Amsterdam's chocolate heaven, where we, Rachel and Franny van Soest, have found our passion for entrepreneurship. In 2008, we opened the doors of our first store on Utrechtsestraat in Amsterdam. It was a long-cherished dream of Franny, who inherited her love for chocolate from generation to generation. Within a year, we clinched the title of 'best starting business.'
Family
For Franny, mother of three daughters with Rachel being the eldest, translating her love for chocolate into the first store on Utrechtsestraat felt like a natural step. Rachel, also a mother to a son, brings a breath of fresh air to this warm place. With a background in hotel management, she brings new flavors and ideas to Van Soest.

With two locations now on Frederiksplein and Zeilstraat, we are rooted in Amsterdam. We cherish our city, where the sense of community blends with the vibrancy of a big city. Our stores are a meeting place for the neighborhood, local and familiar. We draw inspiration from Amsterdam's rich culinary scene; our love for good food and drink is evident in every creation we make.

In our office on Frederiksplein, it feels like a second home, where everyone is always welcome to join us. Here, Rachel and I, Franny, work on the future of Van Soest, supported by my partner Yer, who is also active and indispensable in the business. Rachel, always with a smile and full of ideas, and I, the force behind our chocolate, welcome you warmly. Here, it's all about passion for chocolate.
